Here at Lakeland Wildlife Oasis we're involved in a range of conservation projects, including fundraising for in situ projects in the wild and participating inĀ ex situ projects managing captive 'ark' populations.

Many of the endangered species at the zoo are on international breeding programmes, and we work with other zoos up and down the country to manage these animals.

We're also involved in several committees in the Birtish and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquairums, and we help to manage a national collection plan which looks for native invertebrates in need of a bit of help from zoos.
